Austin, TX, November 15, 2022 – This week, Crown Castle Inc. (NYSE: CCI), the nation’s leading provider of shared communications infrastructure, as part of its Connected by Good initiative, volunteered at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. This is part of Crown Castle’s two-year national partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America called “Crown Castle Connects Youth to STEM Program.”
In Austin, Crown Castle employees volunteered to clean up and restore the local Club and help prepare for the organization’s programs. This was part of Crown Castle Clean-Up Days nationwide. The week of November 14-18, 2022, 1,100 employees will have volunteered to support the needs of over 50 Boys & Girls Clubs in communities across the country.
Crown Castle Connects Youth to STEM Program aims to inspire the next generation of young people to envision a future in STEM. Over the next two years, Crown Castle will invest nearly $2 million in the partnership through hands-on employee volunteering and financial support. The company’s support will continue year-round through the Crown Castle Holiday Giving program, and a series of Crown Castle STEM Inspiration Days scheduled for the summer of 2023 where employee volunteers will guide Club youth through foundational and fun STEM activities at partner Clubs.
“Access to education and technology can make an enormous impact on our youth to prepare them for the future,” said Jay Brown, Crown Castle’s Chief Executive Officer. “Through our Connected by Good program we partner with community organizations that are making a difference and we are thrilled to kick off our new partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America this week with Crown Castle Clean-Up Days, where employees restored local Clubs so children will have improved the spaces to learn and grow.”
