Austin Technology Council Names Ray Kunik of 3M as New Board Chair
Austin, Texas June 11, 2025– The Austin Technology Council (ATC), a unifying voice for Central Texas’s tech sector, has named Ray Kunik, Head of Digital at 3M, as Chair of its Board of Directors. Kunik brings a strong mix of startup and enterprise experience to the role, and his leadership reflects ATC’s commitment to growing a tech community that is connected, inclusive, and future-focused. He is to former Chief Digital Officer at Resideo.
He succeeds Scott Francis, former CEO of BP3 Global, who served as Chair during a period of reinvention for the organization. Under Francis’s leadership, ATC launched the Austin Tech Hall of Fame, expanded partnerships, and deepened its ties with startups, scaleups, and global firms across the region.
“I’m proud of how ATC has reconnected with the community post-COVID and continues to grow alongside Austin’s thriving tech economy,” said Scott Francis. “With Ray stepping in, we have the right leadership to keep momentum going and bring even more companies into the conversation.”
ATC’s work going forward will focus on bridging generations of leadership and bringing together diverse tech sectors from software and semiconductors to defense, deep tech, and space innovation.
