While Cooley does not officially have an office in Austin, its presence is increasing. Casey Schulte from the firm’s fund formation practice lives here full time. Josh Holleman, a corporate partner who does M&A and emerging company work, owns a home here and splits his time between Austin and DC. Cooley holds it Corporate Group offsites in Austin every other year and Carl Grant, head of Cooley’s global business development team recently moved to a home on Lake Travis. He hopes to bring his team’s coastal connections to the tech and venture ecosystems to the benefit of Austin-based businesses.
