Discussion of “This is How They Tell Me the World Ends”

June 30, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

The 2021 book “This Is How They Tell Me the World Ends: The Cyberweapons Arms Race,” by Nicole Perlroth, is a NY Times Bestseller. Although it is written in non-fiction journalism, it reads like a modern-day spy thriller with illuminating, sometimes terrifying, insights and perspectives that are worthy of discussion, especially in light of the Ukraine invasion.

The conversation surrounding this prize-winning book will explore cyberweapons as a new dimension of human conflict, addressing the changing landscape and threats of modern warfare. It will be led by Hugh Forrest, SXSW Chief Programming Officer, Austin Forum advisory board member and avid book-reader.

**Also, since SXSW will have just opened the PanelPicker for 2023 submissions, Hugh will share some insights on how to craft the best submissions for SXSW 2023!
