The Austin Forum Presents ‘Tech for Giving and Sharing’ Event

December 5, 2017 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Friends, as tech professionals enjoying the benefits of Austin’s booming, tech-fueled economy, we are also aware of the pressures that economic booms place on some people (affordability issues in particular), as well as the standard civic challenges faced by many people in any city.

The Austin Forum on Technology & Society is partnering with Impact Hub Austin to host its 3rd annual “Tech for Giving & Sharing” event next week: 6 PM on Dec 5. It is:

Free! with drinks, snacks
Fun! with holidays decor and ambiance
Informative! with guidance and examples for any tech professional or company

Register HERE

The event is for both tech professionals who want their existing companies to create more opportunities for social good (volunteer programs, donation programs, social good business models, etc.), like most of our Austin CityUP members, and for folks wanting to create a tech startup focused on social good (like some of our members, and like some of the companies in SmartAustin, one of our members)
Please RSVP and come have fun and learn. Also, please share this with your companies! I promise it will be the most feel-good event on your busy December schedules!
Also, if you can (not required), please bring a new toy for the Blue Santa toy drive and/or an old smartphone to be donated to Austin Pathways, a program of one of our members, Housing Authority of the City of Austin! We are donating five toys and an iPhone 7 Plus; I’m sure our members can help us get 100 toys and 20 smartphones!
