SUMMARY:Climate Action Plans Part 3: A Discussion on Air Quality with Texas & UK Officials
DESCRIPTION:CleanTX and the UK Government will co-host a webinar addressing air quality\, a key issue identified by the Chief Sustainability Officers of the four major Texas cities. The webinar will take place on Wednesday\, January 27th from 10:00 AM CST until Noon CST with the last 20 – 30 minutes dedicated to questions and answers. \nPotential topics include the climate impacts of the transportation sector; transition to electrifying transport\, such as charging infrastructure for zero-emissions vehicles; air pollution in relation to climate equity; the green economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic; and the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). \nThere is no cost to attend\, but registration is required. As we enter a new decade\, we’ll explore new clean technology\, new ways to integrate renewables into the grid and continue to focus on ways to achieve our goal of 50% renewable energy integration by 2030. \nFollowing very successful GridNEXT events last year in both Dallas and San Antonio\, the pandemic won’t slow down our progress.
