Vice President, Regional Sales, Texas at Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) & TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV)

Reporting to the Director, Global Business Development, you will be accountable for developing new listings for TSX/TSXV in the Texas and southern region of the United States. You will build strong relationships with executives of companies and sources of referrals in order to create strong awareness of the value proposition for local private companies listing on TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.

As an accomplished B2B sales professional, you have a consistent record of success in a hunting role, running the entire sales cycle across the buyer’s journey. You possess strong direction in managing your pipeline and leading key performance indicators to meet growth and revenue targets assigned.


Key Accountabilities

  • Engage and collaborate with prospective companies at all levels of the organization (in Dallas and the southern region of the U.S)
  • Articulate the unique value proposition for TSX/TSXV relative to other domestic & global exchanges
  • Develop and maintain extensive relationships with the key local partners and influencers (advisors, investors, associations, governments, and company executive)
  • Ensure strong alignment and working partnerships with collaborators that facilitate listings on the stock exchange
  • Identify, initiate and qualify opportunities to maintain a balanced funnel with a continuous focus on moving opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Work locally with family offices, high net worth individuals, and local funds to develop curiosity about creating Capital Pool Companies
  • Conduct presentations, webinars, and seminars highlighting the benefits of listing on TSX and TSXV
  • Document sales activities (contact, prospecting, opportunities, and next steps) in Salesforce and provide regular opportunity pipeline and forecast updates and reports as the need arises
  • Support the broader TSX and TSX Venture Exchange and represent TMX at industry events
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership materials for the Exchanges on the opportunities for U.S. management teams to access capital

Skills And Experience

  • Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce or MBA or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of consultative selling experience, including financial products and services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus and presentation experience
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel and presentations to C-Level executives
  • Collaborative teammate who can work efficiently with numerous partners
  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets
  • Familiar with Salesforce CRM or similar/equivalent sales tools
  • Travel is a requirement of the role
  • CFA is an asset
