SUMMARY:

Based in Austin, Texas, Elite CEU has been a nationwide leader in online training since 2004. You will be working closely with our team of professional educators to develop virtual reality training scenarios for high consequence industries and shape the future of professional education.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years experience as a Unity 3D Developer.

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable and trusted to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at one time
  • Exceptional communicator that conveys information clearly in writing
  • Extensive knowledge of Unity, C#, VR, Scripting, Textures, Animation, GUI, Microsoft Suite, and Google Drive
  • Familiarized with communicating via the web.  EX: email, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc…
  • Maintain confidentiality due to customer proprietary information
  • Highly detailed thinker that demonstrates skill in identifying inconsistencies during development and creation of 3D/VR training simulations
  • Exceptional debugging abilities
  • Candidates experienced in GearVR are preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools
  • Familiarity with scene and environmental design and planning
  • Familiarity with VR UI/UX standards
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to work at least 40-45 hours a week
  • Write reusable, high-performance code for Unity VR emergency training scenarios using C#
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Work closely with our instructional team and 3D artists to turn conceptual training simulations into reality
  • Create training applications that can be implemented across all VR hardware platforms
  • End-to-end development from concept through implementation and testing to deployment
  • Understand the project requirements and develop high-quality VR simulations accordingly
  • Create rapid prototypes of systems in Unity, including asset integration
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Continuously learn and stay on top of evolving VR and xAPI standards and development technologies
