Social Media & Design Intern at ATC at Austin Technology Council

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, technically savvy individual to manage and assist with ATC social media and design projects. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the successful candidate will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create professional and creative content for ATC’s online and print communications, involving event promotion, member updates, sponsor recognition and more.

Job Type: Part-time, 10 hours per week

Required Experience: 0-2 years of design work or equivalent educational experience.

Compensation: $15 / hour

Will include, but not be limited to:

  • Create and prepare images, graphics, and video to be used in various web and print media;
  • Develop and implement creative digital media campaigns for web, email and social media to promote ATC and ATC partnered events and programs;
  • Create and manage sponsor-recognition projects for events, such as posters and digital slide decks;
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to produce printed design projects;
  • Assist with updates to ATC website, including event calendar, member directory and other pages;
  • Create, develop and manage social media campaigns to highlight ATC members, events and resources;
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by CEO or Director of Marketing.


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong and diverse design portfolio with proven proficiency using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva;
  • Enthusiasm for design, meticulous attention to detail and willingness to learn;
  • Familiarity working within brand guidelines and restrictions;
  • Experience in Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+ marketing campaigns
  • High energy, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to self-manage priorities, work within a plan and produce results on a consistent basis.
