Job Summary

Senior Business Analyst will be the primary IT liaison providing functional support of the Manufacturing, Production Planning and Scheduling domains. Senior business analyst will be responsible for documenting requirements, design, configuration, testing and delivery of projects and enhancement requests. They will coordinate and collaborate with business team members, IT development team and project management team. They will keep up with the latest technologies, products and features available in Oracle EBS and other applications in their domain. They will periodically rotate among the business domains listed above


  • The configuration, application and support of Oracle EBS, Ortems Planning, Ortems Scheduling and other applications in the domain assigned
  • Perform discovery and investigation of current business processes and procedures
  • Identify business process re-engineering opportunities, collaborate with business team to provide solutions to improve business efficiency, manufacturing lead time, quality, customer service and cost control.
  • Investigate multiple solutions to business problems and prepare analyses to justify solutions
  • Become an expert on the functional configuration, capabilities, and usage of any application currently or in the process of being deployed
  • Work with the business to guide and tailor the application to solve business problems in the most efficient means possible
  • Develop test cases and perform comprehensive functional testing
  • Collect, consolidate and cleanse data
  • Work closely with other IT Staff and development groups to resolve issues and problems and implement new applications
  • Provide training on any deployed applications in both a one-on-one and group setting
  • Investigate the cause of bugs and issues by working through knowledge bases, reading manuals or using other reference materials
  • Attention to detail especially in the testing and validation of resolutions to application issues
  • Project management
  • Demonstrate strong customer services skills and a calm, positive, professional demeanor to accurately identify and resolve user issues
  • Keep business partners informed of the progress of outstanding issues
  • Become a trusted partner to the business


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years business analysis, business process reengineering and solutions implementation experience in Manufacturing, Production Planning and Scheduling domains
  • 5-7 years hands on experience in Oracle EBS modules (WIP, BOM, ASCP, MRP and Inventory), support and configuration
  • Oracle EDI Gateway support and configuration
  • Experience in AIM or like methodology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid understanding of business functions and business management issues.
  • Knowledge of application development process
  • Thorough understanding of Oracle Interfaces and API’s
  • Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with data integration tools like Informatica
  • Project Management
  • Excellent presentation skills using PowerPoint and proficiency in excel for data analysis
  • Thorough understanding of Oracle Applications AOL and Foundation Concepts
    • Key and Descriptive Flex fields
    • Value Sets and Lookups
    • Concurrent Programs, Parameters, Managers and Printer Definition
    • Profile Options
    • Workflow
    • User, Responsibility, Request Group, Function and Menu Definitions

  • Production Planning and Scheduling Systems (preferably Ortems)
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (preferably Apriso)
