We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to perform membership engagement and retention, lead generation, support brand awareness campaigns and assist with monthly event management. This position reports into the Head of Sales & Member Services and Director of Marketing


Job Type: Full-Time Job

Location: Austin (Metro City and surrounding areas)

Required Experience: 1 year of Marketing and/or 1 year of Sales or Account Management

Compensation: Base, Commission, Expenses, Bonus possibilities and Full Benefits Package


Austin Technology Council, founded in 1992, is the oldest and largest technology industry association in Texas and represents more than 250 member companies and 60% of Austin’s tech workforce.

ATC is the informed opinion leader and unifying voice of technology in Austin and Central Texas. Will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage member renewal activity, including calls and in person meetings
  • Update current member information in Hubspot and WordPress
  • Maintain expert panel list and assist CEO/Marketing Manager identifying speakers for ATC and community events
  • Promote exclusive benefits from media partnerships to key members
  • Assist sales team in lead generation
  • Assist with on-boarding new members including collecting organizations logo, information etc.
  • Execute and manage external media partnerships
  • Assist with implementing social media and email campaigns
  • Analyze marketing reports & data to suggest updates to marketing strategy
  • Provide day-of event support
  • Create and update content and collateral about ATC programming and benefits according to marketing strategy
  • Coordinate with event vendors on Roundtables & Leadership Dinners
  • Manage SXSW Discount Badge Program


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with and understanding of technology and tech companies
  • Previous success in implementing marketing and digital media campaigns
  • Previous experience in sales/account management
  • High energy, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to market intangible products/services;
  • Computer literate/proficient including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, WordPress and CRM
  • Experience in Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+ marketing campaigns
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to self-manage priorities, work within a plan and produce results on a consistent basis;
  • Possess a high degree of personal accountability, discipline and integrity
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or experience preferred
