Job Summary

The IT Project Manager role is a highly visible position with substantial impact to the organization. This role will drive the execution and successful delivery of customer facing digital initiatives within the scope, quality, time, and cost constraints to deliver the intended business value. This role will require strong Project Management, planning, organization and communications skills and proven experience in delivering digital platform initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Deliver assigned projects successfully to meet the business goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks
  • Support product owners and development team members in defining the requirements, meeting customer expectations through the project deliverables and other aspects of the project
  • Create and manage project budgetDirect and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Create project status reports and share with the project team at regular intervals to communicate the progress, issues and risks
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans
  • Participate in the early phases of the project and define the requirements and business value expected from the implementation of the project together with business stakeholders
  • Identify the resources, expertise and skills required for the project
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and get their commitment
  • Ensure the quality of the solution delivered, with a proper testing plan
  • Ensure assigned projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the organization
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, obstacles, changes, possible dependencies with other on-going initiatives then take the appropriate actions
  • Collaborate with team members and other IT staff for successful project delivery
  • Propose a support model for the delivered solution and timely transition that solution to the support organization (including documentation, etc.)

WHAT IS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering projects
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering projects using Agile methodologies
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering digital solutions that includes enhancing customer experience, supporting digital marketing capabilities and eCommerce platform/operations
  • Demonstrated competency in a Project manager role involving execution of multiple projects
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams
  • Experience in leading scrum teams and facilitating scrum ceremonies
  • Experience in leading complex digital technology related initiatives
  • Experienced in executing projects using various project management methodologies (Ex – Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum, TDD etc.,)

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience working in Atlassian Jira, Confluence and other tools for managing projects in Agile methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
  • Experience in MS Project, Smartsheet or other online project management tools
  • Experience using SharePoint and other collaboration tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or equivalent certified
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certified
  • Managed projects with multiple stakeholders and at least 4 to 6 cross functional teams
  • Experienced in managing multiple vendors as part of the project
  • In depth understanding of Agile project delivery concepts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Excellent team player with an attitude to collaborate and learn from team members
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior leadership
