The Role

HireBetter is actively seeking to build our own team with an extraordinary Engagement Director. This is an opportunity to work with thriving clients on a variety of roles. We help to place all levels within four primary functional areas: accounting and finance, operations and human resources, sales and marketing, and executive leadership roles in a variety of industries. The Engagement Director will source, recruit, and conduct extensive interviewing and networking in order to deliver top talent and exceptional client service for every HireBetter search.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, communicating with the client to understand the specifications for each search and determining sourcing strategy and goals
  • Manage a variety of recruiting projects at various levels and states of completion
  • Source, recruit, and conduct in depth interviews with candidates
  • Prepare candidate profiles for presentation to the client
  • Manage the interview process, guiding the client on interview best practices, interview guidelines and lines of questioning that will create a positive candidate brand experience
  • Prepare and debrief candidates and clients for interviews
  • Work seamlessly with the executive recruiting team and coordinate daily to divide tasks, provide support to each other and determine next steps
  • Serve as an experienced talent advisor to our clients and candidates
  • Update applicant tracking system (Tracker RMS) with notes regarding all contacts and conversation information with clients and candidates and schedule follow-ups as necessary
  • Conduct reference checks for final candidates
  • Ensure that searches are completed in a timely and successful manner
  • Participate in detailed after action reviews for each search managed
  • Support all other facets of the recruiting process as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting to include experience in client service project management, sales and/or business development; Bachelor’s degree required
  • Able to interface and lead strategic talent conversations with C-level leadership and hiring managers, building and strengthening relationships
  • Excellent sourcing and recruiting capabilities
  • A genuine sense of ownership and desire to pursue excellence in recruiting
  • Ability to easily multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization
  • An unwavering desire to provide client satisfaction
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven team
  • Enthusiastic yet professional attitude with excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to accurately summarize and relay information without losing the nuances
  • Detail-oriented person who will focus on the big picture and strive to always exceed expectations
  • Outstanding communicator with a confident and approachable telephone/video presence
  • Takes it personal to find top talent and possesses a relentless desire to seek out the best candidate
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively
