Community Manager – Americas at OutSystems

We’re looking for a Community Manager to lead developer community programs in North America, by building on top of and executing on a global vision of community engagement and advocacy.

In this role, you’ll be central to engaging and nurturing a community of developers as a part of the global Developer Relations team. Reporting to the Community Engagement & Advocacy Lead, you’ll work closely with community advocates, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to execute programs and activate the OutSystems developer community in North America. 

Responsibilities

  • Set the developer community strategy and focus for the region as a part of the global team’s goals and metrics
  • Lead community engagement initiatives in North America
  • Organize and participate in developer-focused events (virtual/in-person) such as user groups, hackathons, and classroom type engagements, for both current and new OutSystems developers
  • Build networks with customer and partner tech teams and use these relationships to raise awareness of OutSystems, increase OutSystems adoption, and nurture OutSystems champions
  • Setup collaboration and communication mechanisms with internal stakeholders to ensure cross synergies to support and engage with the developer community
  • Moderate and engage with the global online community regularly, providing support, and handling escalations in time zone
  • Listen to the community needs, bringing forward suggestions and plans for improvements and new functions

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, community engagement, or customer advocacy
  • Outstanding “people skills” that enable you to deliver excellent customer service and moderate online and offline conversations with our community
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success) to plan and execute supporting community activities
  • Empathy and ability to understand community needs, gather feedback, and handle escalations appropriately
  • Be a team player and have a collaborative approach to work, as we are a global distributed team
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, stay highly organized, and use data to make decisions
