DESCRIPTION:Technology advances play a role in accelerating essentially every part of the healthcare spectrum: from basic life sciences research to translational and clinical research\, to clinical healthcare and hospital best practices\, to individual digital health and population health education. The COVID pandemic has raised general societal awareness of contagion transmissibility\, epidemic tracking\, and vaccine development and delivery\, but all of these health topics and many more are enabled by powerful and pervasive technologies in hands of medical and health researchers and practicers — and increasingly available to individuals as well. \nIn this presentation\, health technologies experts Dr. Nishi Viswanath of UT Dell Medical School and Dr. Scott Collins of BioAustinCTX\, will survey the landscape of health tech\, med-tech and biotech\, explaining the terms and their scope\, the kinds of technologies in use and under development\, and what the landscape is now and the future may hold. \nREGISTER NOW \nWant to win a SXSW 2023 badge?
