Companies like the bottled water giant Fiji recently announced their plan to be carbon negative; BP is investing up to $8 billion over ten years in solar, wind, natural gas and hydrogen to provide low carbon electricity; Timberland is using recycled contents for their rubber soles and organic cotton for their clothing line. How will clean tech development ultimately impact consumer behavior and corporate strategy? Will greener practices bring businesses more profit — is green really the new gold?
About Forbes/ATC Roundtable Series Luncheons:
In partnership with ATC, Forbes will produce Power Up Austin, a roundtable series of luncheons, each of which will bring Austin's best and brightest business and technology leaders together to discuss and promote Austin's emerging technology sectors. Each event will be hosted by a Forbes editor and technology expert. Austin's technology leaders will share ideas on the business-critical needs of CEO's and their executive teams, how to build domestic and global business alliances and best practices for enhancing business operations, among other topics.
