GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals from designers, to developers and database administrators to marketers and web strategists donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations. Since its inception in 2007, the GiveCamp program has provided benefits to hundreds of charities, worth millions of dollars of developer and designer time in services!
Austin nonprofits in need of new web pages, website upgrades or custom software development are encouraged to apply for the 5th annual Austin GiveCamp.
Past projects have included developing websites, fixing databases, creating email campaigns, and PR assistance with events. Nonprofits are encouraged to be available for the logistical planning meetings and throughout the GiveCamp weekend to ensure success of their projects.
GiveCamp is an all-volunteer event that is made possible by generous companies throughout Austin. It is open to all interested software developers, project managers, marketing and creative professionals, and others. If you’d like to volunteer and aren’t sure where your skills can be of use, contact staff coordinators on the website. You can register as technology support, non-technology support or contribute financially.
Additional details will be posted online in the coming weeks. Follow Austin GiveCamp on Twitter @austingivecamp.
