Community Event: Civic Life in the Cyber Age

  • Belo Center for New Media 300 West Dean Keeton Street Austin, TX, 78712 United States

Technology has changed almost every facet of our daily lives and created exciting opportunities in civic life for improving how we engage and solve problems. Join the New Politics Forum and the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life for a one-day, youth-focused, nonpartisan conference exploring topics surrounding civic life in the cyber age. We've invited some of the nation's top scholars and practitioners to share their expertise and help us dive into the issues surrounding these new avenues of engagement.

Young adults and students from across Texas as well as all interested community members are encouraged to attend. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, coffee and a parking pass at UT-Austin.  Scholarships are available for all students in need.

If you are (or are wanting to become) a social entrepreneur, community leader, civic innovator, political professional, or just a more informed citizen, this event is for you!
