Phil Murray, Vice President of Finance & Admin, Kimbia

Phil Murray has over 15 years of experience working in growing businesses across several different industries.  After beginning his college education as a Computer Science major, his interests were ultimately drawn in the direction of business, leading to a B.S. in Business Administration and later an MBA with an emphasis in finance, both completed at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Within three years of finishing his undergraduate work, Phil was serving as the top financial executive of a construction services business which grew to multiple lines of business and multiple locations in the Southeast, and was ultimately titled as CFO at the time of his departure in 2009 when he and his wife moved to her home state of Texas.  His experience of working directly with and for CEOs and founders from so early in his career has given him the unique perspective of business owner and entrepreneur.

Phil is a Texas-licensed CPA, and is passionate about improving processes and focusing himself and his co-workers to move beyond analyzing information to actually act on that information. He and his wife have young two sons and a foster daughter and call the Austin neighborhood Bryker Woods their home. They enjoy exploring the excellent food found in our city and their family can be found most Saturdays on a soccer field somewhere.
